Vancouver: US-based Khalistani outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), has threatened to “siege” the Indian Consulate in Vancouver on September 18 and asked the Indo-Canadians to stay away from consulate.
According to the notice, the Khalistani outfit has announced a 12-hour siege of the Indian consulate, from 8 am to 8 pm, local time.
A poster released by the group shows India’s High Commissioner to Ottawa, Dinesh Patnaik, with a target on his face.
In a notice released by the US-based Khalistani outfit, SFJ issued a threat to the Indian consulates in Canada and accused them of running a spy network in the country to target Khalistan supporters. The statement released by SFJ says, “Two years ago — 18 September 2023, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told Parliament that the Indian agents’ role was under investigation in the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.”
“Two years on, Indian Consulates continue to run a spy network and surveillance targeting Khalistan Referendum campaigners,” it added.

The development comes weeks after a Canadian government report acknowledged the presence and foreign funding of Khalistani terror groups operating from its soil.
