Delhi-bound IndiGo flight gets bomb threat minutes before takeoff

Lucknow: A Delhi-bound IndiGo flight 6E2111 carrying 180 passengers from Lucknow to Delhi was delayed after the aircraft received a bomb threat on Friday.

The IndiGo flight was scheduled to depart from Lucknow for Delhi at 10.45 am.

Just before departure, a handwritten note on a tissue paper was found inside the aircraft’s lavatory, claiming that a bomb was present on the flight.

Following the alert, the aircraft was held back at the apron and security personnel began checking the plane and other areas as part of the precautionary measures.

During the security checks, all passengers were deboarded and moved to a safe location. After an extensive search and investigation, authorities found the bomb threat to be completely false.

Authorities have launched an investigation and are trying to identify the person responsible for writing and leaving the threatening note.
