Pahalgam terror attack: BJD assures full cooperation to centre on national security

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Thursday assured to extend full cooperation to centre on national security in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack. This was informed by party MP Sasmit Patra, who attended the all-party meeting chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today.

Taking to his X handle, Patra said, “On behalf of our party the Biju Janata Dal, attended the All-Party meeting held today in the Parliament Annexe called by the Union Government on the Pahalgam terror attack. As directed by the Party, the Biju Janata Dal made the following statement on the floor of the All-Party meeting – “The Biju Janata Dal and our Honble President Shri. Naveen Patnaik ji convey their deep sorrow, condolences and solidarity with the families affected by the Pahalgam terror attack.”

“We condemn this inhuman and cowardly act in the strongest possible terms. We urge the Government to take all necessary steps to ensure that the perpetrators of this gruesome attack are brought to justice. BJD reaffirms its full cooperation and support with the Government in all its efforts concerning the national security of the nation,” he added.
