Firozabad: An 18-year-old nursing student was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad district, triggering allegations of murder against the college principal and his son.
The victim, identified as Preeti, was a first-year General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) student at Firozabad College of Nursing and belonged to Mainpuri district.
According to police, Preeti went missing on Wednesday morning, October 28, when her hostel roommates noticed that she was absent during breakfast.
A search of her room also failed to locate her. CCTV footage from the college reportedly showed her leaving the hostel premises alone during the early hours after scaling the boundary wall.
Her body was later found near Mauda Kaneta village, close to a railway track. Police identified the deceased as Preeti and initiated an investigation. Her brother, Rohit, accused college principal Suresh Daksh and his son Yash of killing her.

The family alleged that the student had faced pressure and threats from the principal’s son. These allegations are part of the police investigation and have not yet been established.
Police have registered an FIR under Section 103(1) of the BNS, which deals with murder, along with other relevant provisions, based on the family’s complaint.
Investigators are examining CCTV footage, call records and other evidence to establish the sequence of events.
Following the post-mortem, the victim’s family staged a road blockade at the district headquarters, demanding action. The protest was later called off after police officials intervened and persuaded the family to allow the body to be taken home.
