Indian woman gasps for breath during enquiry by US police, video goes viral

In a video going viral on the Internet recently, an Indian woman was caught by the police over allegations of shoplifting in the US. What followed, even shocked the police officials.
The Indian-origin woman reportedly holding a Washington-issued driver’s license choked and gasped for breath, at the same time pleading the authorities for releasing her over shoplifting.
The officer enquired is she could speak english to which the woman responded saying, “Not very good.”
The police asked her about her mother tongue to which she said Gujarati, thus confirming that she is an Indian. They asked her to calm down with deep breaths. “You gotta take a deep breath. Do not hyperventilate.”
The clip is an old one from January 15 but has gone viral recently. The complainants- shop staff, said that she is a regular customer but one day she loaded her shopping cart and then simply walked out. The staffer said, “Just walked straight out.”

The Indian woman also admitted that she intended to resell the items she had picked from the store. She pleaded and even offered to pay the amount saying, “I am really sorry to bother you if it is. I am not from this country. I am not going to stay here.”
