Trump reveals sonic "discombobulator" used in Venezuela raid: "I'm not allowed to talk"

President Trump revealed the U.S. military used a secret weapon he calls "The Discombobulator" during the January 3 raid that captured Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro, according to the New York Post. "The discombobulator. I'm not allowed to talk about it," Trump said from the Oval Office. He earlier described it as a "secret sonic weapon" that "nobody else has."

According to Trump, the weapon disabled Venezuelan air defenses and communications during the operation, allowing U.S. forces to enter Caracas without resistance despite Russian- and Chinese-made missile systems. "They had the weapons, but nothing worked," Trump said.

Eyewitness accounts from Venezuela describe armed guards protecting Maduro collapsing, showing nosebleeds and severe discomfort. One security team member said radar systems shut down suddenly before drones appeared, followed by helicopters carrying about 20 American soldiers. Something resembling "a very intense sound wave" caused severe pain, bleeding, and an inability to move.

Maduro, 63, is now held in a federal prison in Brooklyn awaiting trial on narco-terrorism charges.
