Israel strikes over 500 targets in Lebanon, hits Hezbollah strongholds: Report
by GK NEWS SERVICE · Greater KashmirNew Delhi, Mar 6: Israel’s military has carried out extensive air strikes across Lebanon, targeting more than 500 sites, including major cities and densely populated areas, according to a report by CNN.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it has launched at least 27 waves of strikes on the Dahieh area in southern Beirut, which is widely regarded as a stronghold of Hezbollah.
According to the report, Israeli forces targeted Hezbollah militants, missile launchers, command centres and weapons storage facilities. The strikes were carried out in several cities, including Beirut, Tripoli, and Sidon, after Israel issued evacuation warnings for large parts of southern Lebanon, areas of Beirut, and villages in the Beqaa Valley. The IDF also acknowledged hitting residential buildings in Beirut, claiming that the structures were being used to house Hezbollah infrastructure and drone storage facilities.
