President Murmu visits Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, offers prayers

New Delhi, Mar 19: President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday visited the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya and offered prayers to Ram Lalla. During her visit, the President performed darshan and aarti at various parts of the temple complex and took part in rituals including Shri Ram Yantra Sthapana and Pujan.

Addressing the gathering, she described it as her “supreme privilege” to visit Ayodhya on the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Shukla Pratipada, marking the beginning of the Hindu New Year and Navratri. She said key milestones related to the temple, from Bhoomi Pujan to Pran Pratishtha, will remain “golden chapters” in India’s cultural history.

Emphasising the ideals of Ram Rajya, Murmu said they reflect the vision of an inclusive and developed nation, marked by social harmony and economic prosperity. She expressed confidence that, with collective effort and unity, India would achieve its development goals by 2047. The President also called on citizens to work together in a spirit of unity and shared purpose, drawing inspiration from the life and values of Lord Ram for nation-building.
