NIA to write Delhi High Court to designate special powers to NIA Court to hear matter of Er Rashid - Greater Kashmir

New Delhi, Nov 27: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday informed the Patiala House Court that it is going to write a letter to the Delhi High Court requesting it to designate the power of MP, MLA court to the Special NIA court to empower it to hear the matter in which Er Rashid, now an MP, is one of the accused.

The agency submitted that it will take ten days to receive response from the High Court so list the matter after that.

The court thereafter has listed the matter for hearing on December 6.

The NIA Court has recently referred the matter to District Judge to consider the transfer of the case to Special MP/MLA court.
