Russian strikes kill 16 in Western Ukraine; dozens injured including children

New Delhi, Nov 19: At least 16 people were killed and over 60 injured, including 14 children, after Russian drone and missile strikes hit two residential blocks in Ternopil in western Ukraine, officials said. It is one of the deadliest attacks on the region since the full-scale invasion began in 2022. President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia launched over 470 drones and 47 missiles across the country, causing widespread power cuts.

He warned that more people could be trapped under the debris. Video footage showed part of a building collapsed from the third to the ninth floor, according to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.
