Terror Attack: Owaisi’s Emotional Appeal for Indian Muslims

Following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi made an emotional appeal to Indian Muslims. He urged them to wear black bands on their arms during Friday prayers as a way to strongly condemn terrorism and show unity.

In a video message, Owaisi said, “Terrorists from Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba were responsible for the deadly attack in Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of 26 tourists. As a mark of protest against this brutal act, I request all Muslims going to the mosque for Friday prayers to wear a black ribbon or band on their arms.”

Owaisi says that this symbolic act would send a clear message to the world — that Indian Muslims stand against terrorism and support peace and unity in the country. He tweeted in Hindi, “Let us show foreign forces that we will not let them break India’s peace and unity.”

He also strongly condemned the terror attack earlier and said killing people in the name of religion is inhuman.

Owaisi participated in the all-party meeting called by the central government today. Key leaders like Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and opposition leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi were also present.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Owaisi said the Indian government has the right to act against countries that shelter terrorist groups. He mentioned that international law allows India to take defensive actions like air or naval blockades and impose arms trade restrictions on Pakistan.
