Lindsay Clancy legal team seeks investigation into lone holdout juror

In the Lindsay Clancy jury, there is only a single member who disagreed with the rest and blamed the mother of three as responsible for the murder of her children.

However, his disagreement with the other jurors resulted in a mistrial.

Now, Clancy's lawyer, Kevin Reddington, is seeking to open an investigation into the juror, Michael P. Desronvil.

According to him, he has a few specific areas for the court to look into.

Starting with the phone. The defense team seems interested in examining the juror's cellphone metadata to check whether the juror attempted to get information from outside while deliberating the case with other members.

Then, Reddington wants P. Desronvil to be questioned by the lawyers about whether he was fully truthful amid jury selection.

Additionally, the lawyer is seeking the original questionnaires and the notes that changed hands between the judge and the jury.

The Clancy attorney's motion reportedly attempts to find possible issues regarding whether P. Desronvil.

However, Valerie Hans, a law professor at Cornell University who studies juries, said Mr. Reddington’s motion “leaves a bad taste in your mouth.”

Meaning, the legal expert said if a juror takes an unpopular stand, this precedent could make them worry about their privacy.

The next hearing in the Clancy case is on Sept. 29.
