Section of A9 closed in both directions following two-car crash

Emergency services are currently on the scene of the incident, which occurred on the A9 from Killiecrankie to Calvine.

A section of the A9 in Perthshire is closed following a crash this afternoon.

Emergency services raced to the scene around 2pm today following reports of a two-car collision on the busy trunk road from Killiecrankie to Calvine.

It is not known how many people are involved in the incident.

Police Scotland confirmed the road remains closed.

A spokesperson said: "Around 2pm on Friday, 20 September, 2024 we were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the A9 near Calvine.

"Emergency services are in attendance and the road is currently closed."
