A body has been found in the search for a talented artist who went missing after reportedly entering a dark Vauxhall with a man. Sarah Cunningham, 31, was last seen around 3am on Saturday, November 2, on Jamestown Road in Camden, North London.
A widespread search was launched, with police sharing her physical description - a slim woman, 5ft 3in tall - and a photo of her wearing a black top, black skirt, and black Converse sneakers. Tragically, officers discovered a body on the tracks at Chalk Farm underground station at 1.11am on Monday.
Formal identification is still to be confirmed, the Mirror reports. Here, we revisit the heartbreaking final hours before Sarah’s disappearance and the intense efforts to locate her.
Met Police posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, when she was first reported missing. They said: "Have you seen Sarah? Sarah, 31, was last seen at about 3am on Sat 2 Nov on Jamestown Road, Camden, NW1. Anyone who sees her or has any information is asked to call 101 and give ref: CAD 2349/02Nov."
Several individuals joined the effort to find the missing artist, including Reclaim These Streets co-founder Jamie Klingler. Klingler said: "She was last seen in Camden around 3am, getting into a dark Vauxhall with a man who had long dark hair, heading toward Islington. Were you the driver? Did you see them? Did you see them get out of the vehicle in Islington?"
However, after following up on this sighting, Sky News reported that the woman seen was not Sarah. Sarah’s loved ones also turned to social media to raise awareness about her disappearance. Playwright Lance SA Nielson described her disappearance as "out of character."
On Facebook, Sarah’s boyfriend, Jack Brown, posted: "My girlfriend, Sarah Cunningham, has been missing in Camden since 2.30am [Saturday]. She was last seen leaving an apartment building on Jamestown Road. Police have been notified, and she has been officially reported as missing. If anyone has any information, please contact me or the police."

Her brother, Anthony Cunningham, also posted: "My sister, Sarah Cunningham, has been missing since 2.30am [Saturday] in Camden. Last seen leaving an apartment building on Jamestown Road, wearing a black outfit. If you have any information, please let me or the police know. She has been officially reported as missing."
Sarah, a renowned artist, had her work exhibited globally, including a recent showcase at the Lisson Gallery in LA this summer. In an update today, police confirmed a body had been discovered. "At around 1.11 a.m. on Monday, November 4, emergency services responded to reports of a casualty on the tracks at Chalk Farm Underground Station," they stated.
"While formal identification is pending, Sarah's family has been informed. They request privacy during this difficult time. Officers from the Met are collaborating with British Transport Police to investigate the circumstances. The death is being treated as unexpected, but it is not believed to be suspicious at this stage."
