Colombian President Petro says to have exchanged 'a friendly call' with Trump

Donald Trump has softened his stance toward Colombian President Gustavo Petro, saying on Wednesday that the two had a cordial phone conversation and that he had invited Petro to visit the White House, a marked shift from comments made just days earlier after the U.S. operation in Venezuela, when Trump claimed that “Colombia is very sick too” and accused Petro of producing cocaine and selling it to the United States.
