PARIS, Sept 10 : The French football federation (FFF) is withdrawing support for Gianni Infantino's reelection bid as head of FIFA next year, Le Monde reported on Thursday, citing a source close to the matter.
Infantino, who is seeking another term as FIFA president, has faced criticism over his handling of the Folarin Balogun red-card case at the World Cup and other governance concerns.
The FFF did not confirm the report, saying its executive committee's meeting on the topic was not yet over.
