LG Sinha Pays Tributes To CRPF Jawans Martyred In Pulwama Attack
by Northlines · NorthlinesJAMMU, Feb 14: Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday paid heartfelt tributes to the 40 CRPF personnel who were martyred in the Pulwama terror attack on February 14, 2019, recalling their supreme sacrifice and unwavering dedication to the nation.
In a post on X, the Lt Governor said, “Humble tributes to the valiant martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty during the dastardly terrorist attack in Pulwama in 2019. Their unwavering commitment, unparalleled bravery and selfless service to the motherland will forever inspire every citizen.”
The terror attack took place when a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a bus carrying Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel in Pulwama district, killing 40 jawans.
The incident had sent shockwaves across the country. Days after the attack, India carried out a retaliatory strike on a terror camp in Pakistan, which later came to be known as the Balakot airstrike.
