Non-Local Minor Injured in Throat-Slitting Incident in Srinagar’s Safakadal

Srinagar, Dec 27: A 16-year-old non-local boy sustained serious injuries after his throat was allegedly slit with a sharp-edged object inside his rented accommodation in the Safakadal area of Srinagar, officials said on Saturday.

According to official sources, the incident occurred inside the minor’s rented room, following which he was referred to SMHS Hospital for treatment. The injured has been identified as a resident of Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, presently staying in Safakadal.

Officials said the health condition of the injured boy was awaited. Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation is underway. (KNC)
