J&K: Suspicious Movement Near Mansar Puts Security Forces on High Alert

Samba, Dec 17: Security agencies were put on alert on Wednesday after reports of suspicious movement by unidentified individuals triggered concern in a village near Mansar in Samba district, sources said.

According to sources, villagers noticed three unidentified men roaming suspiciously in and around the area and immediately informed the police. Acting swiftly on the information, police teams rushed to the spot to assess the situation.

Following the inputs, the area was cordoned off and a search operation was launched. A joint search operation involving police and other security forces was subsequently initiated in Mansar and adjoining areas.

Sources said forests, agricultural fields, deserted roads and other vulnerable locations are being thoroughly combed to rule out any anti-social or anti-national activity. Security forces remain on high alert, and the situation is being closely monitored, they added. (KNC)
