BJP Appoints New Presidents for Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Tripura Units

NEW DELHI, May 28: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday announced new presidents for its units in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Tripura as part of a wider organizational reshuffle ahead of the formation of new teams at the state and national levels.

BJP national president Nitin Nabin appointed Union Minister and East Delhi MP Harsh Malhotra as the new president of the party’s Delhi unit.

In Haryana, Dr Archana Gupta has been named the new BJP state chief, while senior leader Kewal Singh Dhillon has been appointed president of the Punjab BJP unit. The party also appointed Abhishek Debroy as the new BJP president for Tripura.

The appointments mark the beginning of the process to reorganise the party structure across various states as well as at the national level under the leadership of Nitin Nabin.

Party sources said the organisational changes are aimed at strengthening the BJP’s political and grassroots presence ahead of upcoming electoral challenges in several states. (Agencies)
