J&K: JeM Terrorist’s Body Recovered From Doda Forest

JAMMU, Sep 12: The body of a suspected Pakistani terrorist affiliated with the proscribed Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) was recovered from the higher reaches of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, officials said.

The body was found in the remote Seojdhar forest, which connects the Bhaderwah valley of Doda with adjoining Udhampur and Kathua districts, during a joint operation by the Army and police, they said.

The recovery was made during an ongoing operation in the forested area, officials said.

“You Can Run But You Can’t Hide! SOG Doda, RR and CRPF retrieved the remains of a Pakistani Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist, who was neutralised earlier in a joint operation. A night-enabled M4 has also been recovered,” police said in a post on X.

The recovery of the body and the weapon was confirmed following the joint search operation by the security forces in the higher reaches of the district.

The suspected terrorist had earlier been neutralised during a joint operation, while his remains were subsequently located and retrieved from the remote forest area.

Further details about the identity of the terrorist and the circumstances leading to his death were not immediately available.
