CIK Raids 12 Locations Across Kashmir in Terror Probe

Srinagar, Dec 16: Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Tuesday carried out predawn raids at multiple locations across the Kashmir Valley as part of an ongoing investigation into a terror-related case.

Official sources told news agency,  that searches were conducted at 12 locations spread across seven districts—Pulwama, Budgam, Kulgam, Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag and Kupwara.

The operation followed the issuance of search warrants in FIR No. 03/2023, registered at Police Station CIK under Sections 153-A and 505 of the IPC, along with Sections 13 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

According to sources, the case is linked to terror-related activities and the online glorification of terrorism, allegedly intended to radicalise youth and facilitate terrorist recruitment. Searches were ongoing at the time of filing this report, and further details are awaited. (KINS)
