Jammu, Apr 6: Traffic on the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway was suspended early Monday after landslides and shooting stones, triggered by rainfall, blocked the road in Ramban district, officials said.

According to a traffic police spokesperson, vehicular movement has been halted in both directions as debris and falling stones obstructed both tubes between Karol Bridge and Chanderkote.

Efforts are underway to restore connectivity, with men and machinery deployed to clear the landslide debris and ensure safe passage. (Agencies)
