Anmol Bishnoi Lands In Delhi, Arrested By NIA After US Deportation
by Northlines · NorthlinesNEW DELHI, Nov 19: Gangster Anmol Bishnoi, wanted in the killing of NCP leader Baba Siddique, arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday after being “removed” from the United States and was immediately taken into custody by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), officials said. Bishnoi, the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is expected to be produced before a special court soon.
Officials said Bishnoi is also a key accused in the firing outside actor Salman Khan’s Mumbai residence in April 2024 and the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. He was detained by US authorities in November last year and deported on Tuesday.
Former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique was shot dead on October 12, 2024, outside his son Zeeshan’s office in Bandra, Mumbai. At least 26 people linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang have been arrested in the case, with Mumbai Police invoking the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA).
Anmol Bishnoi, Shubham Lonkar and Zishan Mohammed Akhtar were named as wanted accused in the high-profile murder case. (Agencies)
