Thugs burn ADC ward office hours before Amaechi’s arrival in Rivers

Suspected political thugs have set ablaze a ward office of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Ubima community, the hometown of former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi.

According to a video circulating online, residents could be heard criticizing security personnel for failing to apprehend the perpetrators.

The incident reportedly took place in the early hours of Friday in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The ADC facility was said to house materials intended for local party activities.

The attack occurred just hours before Amaechi was scheduled to formally register with the party at the ward level.

As of time of filling this report, Amaechi has just arrived in Port Harcourt ahead of his African Democratic Congress, ADC, registration.
