Recall that the singer had questioned the presence of Ugonyeka in Osun State before the governorship election.

Ugonyeka reportedly arrived in Osun State ahead of the governorship election despite Osun not being her assigned state.

Reacting to her continued stay in Osun, Davido wrote, “Mrs Pauline Ugonyeka, I heard you’re still in Osun, your mission tomorrow will fail as the INEC REC. Osun people will stand by their votes.”

DAILY POST reports that the Osun State governorship election is scheduled for August 15, 2026 (today) and is being contested by the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, Davido’s uncle who is seeking re-election, alongside the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, the African Democratic Congress, ADC, among others.
