Ebonyi: Federal High Court affirms suspension of PDP South-East Chairman, Odefa
by Casmir Nwankwo · Daily PostA Federal High Court sitting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State has affirmed the suspension of Ali Odefa from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Odefa before his suspension was the National Vice Chairman of the PDP South-East zone.
He was suspended on October 4, 2024, by the Executive committee of the party at his Oguduokwor Ward in Onicha local government area of Ebonyi State over allegations of anti-party activities.
The suspension letter was signed by the executive committee of the party led by Mr Herbert Ovuta and others which the court upheld on Friday.
Delivering judgement in the matter filed by Ovuta Herbert Onyedikachi and ORS V. Ali Odefa & ORS with Suit No FHC/AI/CS/182/2024, Justice Hilary Oshomah affirmed the suspension of Odefa and ordered that he henceforth stop parading himself as the National Vice Chairman of the party having been validly suspended from the party.
All efforts to reach the suspended Odefa to react on the issue proved abortive as he neither picked nor responded to several calls put across to him.
