Venezuelan VP demands immediate release of Maduro

Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez has called for the immediate release of their President, Nicolás Maduro, and his wife, who were captured on Saturday by US forces.

Rodríguez, who is now the Acting President, made the call on Saturday while addressing the nation.

DAILY POST reports that US President Donald Trump on Saturday announced the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife.

After his arrest, the US announced drug and terrorism charges against Maduro.

Trump later disclosed that Maduro and his wife would be heading to New York, stressing that they were indicted there and subsequently released his photograph.
