United States President Donald Trump has confirmed the rescue of the weapon’s officer who went missing after his F-15E jet was shot down over Iran.

Trump made the confirmation in a post on his Truth Social early Sunday.

He wrote, “My fellow Americans, over the past several hours, the United States Military pulled off one of the most daring Search and Rescue Operations in the US.

“History, for one of our incredible Crew Member Officers, who also happens to be a highly respected Colonel, and who I am thrilled to let you know is now safe and sound!”

DAILY POST reports that Iran had claimed that it shot down a United States F-35 fighter jet over its central region.

It will also be recalled that Iranian merchants and trade groups placed a $60,000 reward for anyone who finds the missing American pilot from a warplane that crashed in Iran.
