Osun election: ‘Soldiers trying to stop me from entering state’ – Davido

Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has alleged that soldiers are planning to prevent him from entering Osun State ahead of the governorship election.

Davido made the claim in a post shared on his official X handle on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

The singer said he had been informed that soldiers were trying to stop him from entering the state, adding, “this won’t happen.”

“I’ve been reliably informed that soldiers are trying to prevent me from entering Osun tomorrow, this won’t happen.

“Every citizen of Nigeria has the right to movement at any point in time,” Davido wrote.
