UPDATE:
Authorities confirmed that the decomposed body discovered at a partially constructed condominium in Bangsar is that of missing British national Jordan Johnson-Doyle
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa stated today, 5 June, that a post-mortem examination determined the cause of death as a chest injury resulting from a fall from height.
"I can confirm that the body is that of the individual who was reported missing on 2 June," he said.
Johnson-Doyle, a 25-year-old software engineer from the UK, was last seen on 27 May at a quiz night at Healy Mac's Irish Bar in Bangsar
His father filed a missing persons report on 2 June, prompting a police search that led to the discovery of the body in a partially submerged elevator shaft at a construction site on Lorong Maarof on 4 June.
The body was retrieved and sent to Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) for post-mortem and identification. Johnson-Doyle's uncle, who arrived in Malaysia earlier this week, assisted in the identification process.
