IAF’s Jaguar jet crashes in Jamnagar, pilot killed
The other pilot has safely ejected, say officials
by The Hindu Bureau · The HinduOne pilot was killed when a Jaguar fighter jet of the Indian Air Force (IAF), which was on a routine sortie, crashed near Jamnagar late on Wednesday (April 2, 2025), official sources confirmed.
The Jaguar was a trainer jet, and the other pilot has safely ejected, officials in the know said. IAF operates six squadrons of the Jaguar deep penetration fighter jet.
About a month ago, on March 7, a Jaguar fighter on a routine sortie crashed at Ambala after encountering a system malfunction but the pilot managed to manoeuvre the aircraft away from any habitation on ground, before ejecting safely, IAF had stated.
