NIA conducts searches in three States against Davinder Bambiha syndicate
Agency says it is part of the crackdown on terror outfits engaged in conspiracies to smuggle arms, ammunition, narcotics, explosives into India
by The Hindu Bureau · The HinduThe National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday (November 27, 2024) conducted searches on nine premises linked to the associates of the Davinder Bambiha terror-gangster syndicate in Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
The searches were carried out in Palwal, Faridabad, and Gurugram districts of Haryana; Jalandhar district of Punjab; and Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh.
“The searches were part of the NIA’s continuous crackdown on terror outfits engaged in criminal conspiracies to smuggle terrorist hardware, such as arms, ammunition, narcotics, explosives, etc., into India. The NIA investigation in the case... further shows large-scale attempts by these organisations and terrorists to raise funds for carrying out terror acts on the Indian soil,” said the agency.
