Their deaths were confirmed to the BBC by daughter Ruth O'Loughlin, from Burntwood, Staffordshire. She said their bodies were sadly found in their car on Saturday (November 2).
Ms O'Loughlin told the BBC her parents moved to Spain a decade ago as they 'always wanted to live in the sunshine'. She last spoke to her mum last Monday, when she had been 'moaning about the rain'.
They had reportedly told friends they were going out to get gas before the flash flood struck. "They're just very, very kind thoughtful people, are well-known, well respected in the area," Ms O'Loughlin added.
