The former two-time heavyweight champion suffered minor injuries and was discharged from hospital after the fatal crash in Nigeria, but the incident claimed the lives of two of his close friends
by James Evans · The MirrorAnthony Joshua's chauffeur has been charged with reckless and dangerous driving after the horror crash that killed two of the boxer's close friends.
Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, 46, was driving the boxer as well as Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami in a black Lexus Jeep on Monday morning before eventually colliding with a stationary truck parked at the side of the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway. The driver was discharged from a hospital in Lagos late on New Year's Eve and was reportedly taken two hours north to Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun state.
It is believed that he was questioned for several hours as well as giving an official statement of what he said in the minutes leading up to the crash - which claimed the lives of Ghami and Ayodele.
