Sara Sharif mum's tribute to 'angelic' murdered 10-year-old girl

Sara Sharif's mother, Olga Sharif, has paid tribute to her "beautiful" daughter after Sara's father, Urfan Sharif, and stepmother, Beinash Batool, were found guilty of her murder

The mother of 10-year-old Sara Sharif has paid tribute to the "angelic" girl after Sara's father and stepmother were found guilty of her murder.

Remembering her "beautiful" daughter, Olga Sharif said: "My dear Sara, I ask God to please take care of my little girl, she was taken too soon. Sara had beautiful brown eyes and an angelic voice.

"Sara's smile could brighten up the darkest room. Everyone who knew Sara will know her unique character, her beautiful smile and loud laugh. She will always be in our hearts, her laughter will bring warmth to our lives. We miss Sara very much. Love you princess."

Sara's body was found on a bed in her home in Woking, Surrey, on August 10, 2023, having been subject to regular beatings. Today, a jury found Sara's father, Urfan Sharif, 42, and her stepmother, Beinash Batool, 30, guilty of her murder. Her uncle, Faisal Malik, 29, has been found guilty of causing or allowing her death.
