A woman has shared her desperation after her husband went out for his regular run and did not return home.

In an emotional social media appeal, Jo Longhurst revealed her husband Jamin has been missing since he left for his run on Sunday, October 20. Jo said she last saw him leave in the direction of Barming Woods, near Maidstone, Kent, at about 10:20am that day.

"He was heading in the direction of Barming Woods and although he didn’t say where he was going, one of his regular routes would usually be a loop through the woods to kings hill, down cannon lane and old road to the river in Wateringbury and back along the river to South street in Barming," she said in a Facebook post. "As you can imagine, we are absolutely distraught as this is completely out of character."

She added that Kent Police had been searching for him all night "but haven't been able to find him yet." Jo asked people to look out for her husband as "he literally could be anywhere." The Oaken Woods is known locally as Barming Wood due to the village of Barming being the closest settlement to the area.

The Mirror has contacted Kent Police and Jo Longhurst for comment.
