Tennessee explosion UPDATES: At least 19 missing and one feared dead after blast

A massive blast has ripped through a building at Accurate Energetic Systems in Tennessee with reports that one person has died, 19 people are missing and many others are in hospital

A person is feared to have died and at least 19 people are currently missing following a major blast at an explosives company.

Emergency services are currently on the scene at Tennessee explosives manufacturer, Accurate Energetic Systems in the Bucksnort area along the Hickman County/Humphreys County line following the incident this morning.

An official with Humphrey County Emergency Management said at least 19 are missing and multiple others have been hospitalized while there have also been reports that a person has died.

Police confirm explosion with emergency services at the scene

Hickman County emergency services rushed to the Bucksnort area after an explosion occurred at an explosives manufacturing plant.

The plant is about an hour west of Nashville off Interstate 40.

"We can confirm there has been an explosion at Accurate Energetic Systems in the Bucksnort area," the Hickman County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook Oct. 10 at 8:30am. "Emergency services are currently on the scene working to address the situation."
