According to Zee Bihar Jharkhand, which described it as one of the biggest updates related to the JD(U) leader. Visuals circulating with the report show Nishant Kumar in formal settings, including what appears to be a meeting or preparation for an official event.

The NDA-led Bihar government, is reportedly preparing for a major cabinet reshuffle or expansion. Reports suggest that the swearing-in ceremony is being planned at Patna's Gandhi Maidan. Nishant Kumar's potential induction is being seen as part of efforts to strengthen the alliance's representation and bring in fresh faces.

Meanwhile, Nishant Kumar launched an outreach programme under the banner of ‘Sadbhav Yatra’ on May 3 to strengthen the party organisation and connect with people across communities.Though Nishant had initially shown reluctance to join the government, he finally agreed after sustained persuasion by senior JD(U) functionaries.
Earlier talks were around his appointment as Deputy CM, but had preferred to work as a grassroots party worker first.
When a new government headed by BJP leader Samrat Choudhary was formed following Nitish Kumar’s resignation, speculation was rife that Nishant would be inducted.
He, however, declined at the time. As a result, senior JD(U) leaders Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav were inducted as ministers and designated Deputy Chief Ministers.Party insiders believe Nishant may now focus on gaining administrative experience as a minister before shifting his attention more actively to political matters.Several other young JD(U) faces are also under consideration for induction in the cabinet.
These include legislators Rahul Ranjan, Navin Kumar Mandal, Chetan Anand, Komal Singh, Rituraj Kumar, Atirek Kumar, Aditya Kumar, and Abhishek Anand. The final list of ministers is expected to be clear during the swearing-in ceremony on Thursday.
Reports indicated that around a dozen leaders from the party are likely to take oath as ministers on Thursday.
The event will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP national president JP Nadda.
JD(U) state president Umesh Kushwaha had earlier stated that the party would like to have up to 16 ministers in the state cabinet, which can have a maximum strength of 30.
