Ceremony marking anniversary of 1916 Easter Rising

The President and the Taoiseach were among those to attend the annual commemoration to mark the anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising which is taking place on O'Connell Street in Dublin.

Captain Eva Houlihan read the Proclamation outside the GPO while President Catherine Connolly laid a wreath.

More than 200 members of the Defence Forces and the Combined Army Band and Pipe Band also took part in the ceremony.
