Podcast: The murder of Charlie Kirk and arrest of suspect

The latest episode of Behind the Story takes a look at the life and death of Charlie Kirk.

A young man suspected of killing Mr Kirk was arrested by authorities late last night. He has been named as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox said the arrest was made after one of Mr Robinson's relatives contacted a friend, who then contacted police.

The authorities went on to reveal that words were inscribed on the bullet casings.

The fatal shooting of the influential conservative activist happened at a university in Utah earlier this week.

The 31-year-old author and podcast host - who was a close ally of US President Donald Trump - is credited with helping build the Republican Party's support among younger voters.

Mr Kirk, a staunch defender of gun rights, was killed by a single bullet as he spoke onstage at an outdoor amphitheatre at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
