Man charged in connection with Bray man's death
by Conor Hunt, https://www.facebook.com/rtenews/ · RTE.ieA 32-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of William Moorehouse in Bray, Co Wicklow, earlier this year.
Mr Moorehouse, 36, who had an address at the Half Moon Halting Site, died in an incident at the playground at Ballywaltrim on 19 January.
Kris Kiggins, of no fixed abode, appeared before Bray District Court this morning charged with violent disorder and production of an article capable of inflicting serious injury
Detective Garda Ryan O'Neill told the court he arrested Mr Kiggins at Bray Garda Station this morning and that the accused made no reply when the charges were put to him.
Barrister Seoirse Fennessy, representing the accused, applied for bail which gardaí objected to.
Judge David Kennedy refused bail and remanded Mr Kiggins in custody to appear back before the courts via video link next Thursday, 1 May.
An application for legal aid was also made and granted by Judge Kennedy.
Mr Kiggins is the fourth person to be charged in connection with the death of Mr Moorehouse.
Last week, two men and a teenager appeared in court in Co Wicklow charged in connection with his death.
One man, 33-year-old Patrick Fitzpatrick, with an address at Old Court in Bray, was charged with Mr Moorehouse's murder.
James Fell, 24, and of Fassaroe in Bray, and the teenager, who cannot be named because he is still a juvenile, were both charged with production of articles likely to cause harm and violent disorder.
