Man, 30s, due to appear in court over Waterford stabbing

A man has been charged after a woman was stabbed at a church in Tramore, Co Waterford.

The woman in her 50s was seriously injured during the incident at Holy Cross Church in Summerhill before 10am.

She was taken to University Hospital Waterford with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The man, who is in his 30s, is due to appear before Waterford District Court in the morning.
