BREAKING: Gardai launch appeal over serious assault in Naas

by Kildare Reporter · Leinster LeaderGardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault on a man in his early 20s in Naas, County Kildare, on Monday, 18th November 2024.
The incident occurred shortly before 12 noon on Newbridge Road, near the Ardconagh Housing Estate.
Gardaí said the victim was approached by a lone male and assaulted, sustaining facial injuries.
He was subsequently taken to Naas Hospital for treatment.
A Garda statement added: "In the course of follow-up inquiries, a man in his 20s was arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda Station in County Kildare.
"He has since been charged and is due to appear before Naas District Court this morning, Tuesday."
The statement added: "Investigating Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
"In addition, they are appealing to those with video footage, particularly dash-cam footage from motorists traveling on Newbridge Road near the Ardconagh Housing Estate at the time, to come forward.
