Conservative militant Charlie Kirk, a well-known friend with US Trump, President Donald Trump, was tragically killed and shot during an event held at a Utah college.
The incident immediately attracted the attention of the nation, prompting an extensive investigation to find the perpetrator.
The FBI released pictures of an "person of interest" shortly following Charlie Kirk shooting. They showed an unidentified young man wearing glasses and a baseball cap walking around the building. The release of these images played a major role in the investigation as officials were able to Charlie Kirk suspect in custody.
On Friday the weekend, President Trump on Charlie Kirk live on Fox News interview that a suspect was detained after what he described as a huge manhunt. "Somebody very close to him turned him in," Trump stated, implying that the arrest occurred as the result of information gathered inside the suspect's circle.

Officials have told The Associated Press that Robinson was arrested after someone from the family reportedly approached a friend who passed the information to authorities in the area. Robinson was alleged to have confessed or even hinted in the past about being the culprit behind the slaying before being transferred to police.

Trump declared Kirk as "like a son," noting his qualities and contribution as an advocate for conservative values.
"Charlie was the finest person, and he didn't deserve this," Trump declared as he paid an obeisance to the close friend. He also emphasized that "with a high degree of certainty," authorities currently believe that the person responsible for the murder has been nabbed.
