Man arrested near home of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor
· UPIMay 7 (UPI) -- A man was arrested for public order offense and possession of a weapon near the British home of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly called Prince Andrew, was walking his dogs in Norflolk near Sandringham Estate when the man got out of his car and moved toward him while shouting, The BBC and The Guardian reported.
The former prince and his security detail rushed to get back in their car and drove away as the man allegedly ran after the car, police told reporters.
"Officers attended, and the man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offense and possession of an offensive weapon," Norfolk police said.

"He was taken to King's Lynn police investigation center for questioning and remains in custody," they said.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday on what reports say is public land near the Sandringham Royal Parkland and Marsh Farm, which is near the Sandringham Estate that Mountbatten-Windsor's brother, King Charles III, forced him to move to last year.
Mountbatten-Windsor was told to move out of his former residence, Royal Lodge, about 3 miles south of Windsor Castle, as his long-denied links to Jeffrey Epstein have come to light after the U.S. government released a trove of documents related to its investigation into the deceased sex predator.
King Charles III in October stripped Mouthbatten-Windsor of his royal titles amid the furor over his friendship with Epstein and allegations that he was involved with sex trafficking and sex with underage girls.
In February, Mouthbatten-Windsor was arrested -- on his birthday -- as part of an investigation into suspicion of misconduct in public office, which is related to his relationship with Epstein, as well.
