Rob and Michele Reiner’s death certificates have been revealed, and they show heartbreaking new details.

The beloved filmmaker and his wife, Michele, were found dead by their daughter, Romy, at their home in Los Angeles last week.

The couple had suffered fatal stab wounds, and their 32-year-old son Nick has since been charged with their murder.

Three days after their deaths, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office has determined they died of multiple sharp force injuries.

The manner of death has been ruled a homicide.

According to TMZ, the couple were both cremated at Mount Sinai Mortuary and their remains were given to their eldest son, Jake.

The couple’s death certificates have revealed that they passed away “minutes” after the brutal attack.

The legendary director’s time of death was listed at 3:45 pm, while his wife’s was noted as 3:46 pm.

The beloved filmmaker was found dead by Romy, 27, at their family home in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon.

It’s understood Romy “fled” the home without realising her mother, Michele, had also been killed.

She was later told by a paramedic that her mother had been found dead too.

Hours after their bodies were found, Rob and Michele’s 32-year-old son Nick was located by police and arrested near the University of Southern California campus at about 9.15pm.

Nick has since been charged with two counts of first-degree murder with a special allegation of using a knife. If convicted, he faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.

According to reports, Rob and Nick got into a “very loud argument” at a party hosted by Conan O’Brien just hours before the alleged killing.

“Nick was freaking everyone out, acting crazy, kept asking people if they were famous,” a source told PEOPLE.
