Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton of Wales have said they are “deeply concerned” in their first statement on Epstein revelations.

A representative for Kensington Palace stated that Prince William and Princess Catherine were “focused on the victims” in response to new details that were made public in the United States.

The remark was made in response to additional accusations made against Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, which heightened interest in the former royal.

A royal spokesperson said: “I can confirm The Prince and Princess have been deeply concerned by the continuing revelations.”

“Their thoughts remain focused on the victims.”

The statement comes after Prince Edward became the first royal to address the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, saying it was “really important always to remember the victims.”

When questioned about new files pertaining to the paedophile during the World Governments Summit in Dubai, the Duke of Edinburgh was asked: “How are you coping?”

Speaking to a CNN reporter on stage, he replied: “Well, with the best will in the world, I’m not sure this is the audience that is probably the least bit interested in that.”

“They all came here to listen to education, solving the future, but no, I think it’s all really important always to remember the victims and who are the victims in all this? A lot of victims in this.”

Edward’s response followed a question from CNN’s Eleni Gioko, who asked: “And I have to say this, and it’s super important, because, you know, it’s been dominating headlines. We all know the last few days have been very interesting, very difficult.”

“And I’m sure for you sir as well, this is an important question to ask, and I want to ask it in the context of what we’ve seen from Their Majesties and their response. And they’re saying that we should be focused specifically on the experience of the victims.”

“The palace has been very, very clear on that. We’ve just heard some commentary from Prime Minister Keir Starmer as well, and bearing that in mind, and he’s saying that there needs to be assistance for the victims.”

“And I wonder what you think of this, because it is so close to home, clearly very difficult. And I know you’ve put in various plans in place to move the institution forward, but how are you coping with that?”

It comes after the King was urged to get in touch with solicitors representing a woman who alleged Epstein sent her to the UK so she could have sex with Andrew.

Numerous times, Andrew appears in the Epstein docs. The most recent set of photos seems to show him crouching over an unnamed woman who is laying on the ground.

Screenshots and scans from other parts of the document dump allege that Andrew and Epstein corresponded via email over a “beautiful” Russian woman and extended an invitation to visit Buckingham Palace.

Late last year, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was formally stripped of his last remaining royal titles by King Charles.

The decision came as a result of Andrew’s friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and the allegations of sexual abuse made against him by the late Virginia Giuffre.

The removal of Andrew’s titles comes six years after BBC Newsnight’s explosive interview with him, in which he addressed his friendship with the late Jeffrey Epstein.

During his conversation with presenter Emily Maitlis, Andrew stated that he had severed all ties with Epstein in December 2010, shortly after they were photographed together in New York.

However, old emails recently emerged that suggested that Andrew had privately stayed in touch with Epstein until February 2011. One such email reportedly read: “Keep in close touch and we’ll play some more soon!”

Andrew continues to “vigorously deny” all allegations of sexual abuse made against him.
