During his visit to Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a strong message against Pakistan’s alleged attempts to provoke unrest in India. He emphasized that Pakistan’s actions were aimed at creating unrest and riots within India, but the nation remains resolute in its commitment to peace and development. Addressing the public in the wake of the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 innocent lives, the Prime Minister said that India will not allow terrorism to derail its path of peace, unity, and development.

Speaking with emotion and resolve, PM Modi said, “Pakistan is attacking both the livelihood of Kashmiris and the very soul of Kashmiriyat. They are trying to disturb our peace, but they will not succeed.”

Following the Pahalgam attack, India launched Operation Sindoor, a carefully executed counter-terror initiative targeting multiple terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The Indian forces struck nine identified locations used for training and sheltering militants, sending a clear message that terrorism will be met with a firm and calculated response.

Development Moves Forward: Vande Bharat and Infrastructure Push

Alongside its firm security stance, the Indian government is doubling down on development efforts in Jammu and Kashmir. During his visit, Prime Minister Modi flagged off a new Vande Bharat Express between Katra and Srinagar — a move aimed at improving connectivity, boosting tourism, and fostering economic growth in the region.

He also inaugurated key infrastructure projects, including a railway line that features the world’s highest railway bridge, further linking the Valley to the rest of the country. These projects reflect the Centre’s broader push to bring long-term development and stability to Jammu and Kashmir.

A Message of Unity and Determination

PM Modi’s visit to the Union Territory was not just about infrastructure or military response — it was a strong symbolic moment. He made it clear that the government’s focus remains on securing peace, accelerating development, and rejecting any effort to divide the country.

“India stands united against terror,” Modi said, emphasizing that no external force can break the spirit of Kashmir or slow down its journey toward progress.
