King Charles has welcomed Ukraine’s President, Vlodomyr Zelensky, to Sandringham

The King met Ukraine’s leader at the Norfolk estate at the end of a day in which President Zelensky had been involved in a major conference of European leaders in London.

The Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, hosted the meeting which followed the clash between President Zelensky and US President, Donald Trump, and Vice President, JD Vance, at the White House.

The summit, at Lancaster House, came as the UK promised funding for air defence missiles for Ukraine.

King Charles and President Zelensky have met several times before and the Royal Family has been vocal in its support for Ukraine since the start of the war there in 2022.

This latest meeting was held in the Saloon at Sandringham.
